Everyone on Oahu can tell simply by your car whether or not you live on the North Shore because if you do, it will be dirty. In the "country" even the paved roads are covered with dirt (or mud if it has just rained), reminds me a little of Malawi. There is no escaping it, but in an effort to reduce the amount of dirt on/in our cars, on our shoes, and on our deck and in our house, Greg designed and built a beautiful gravel driveway leading to our temporary home and the future farm house.
He started with tons of boulders - and I mean literally: these rocks were super heavy - and an excavator...
...and placed the rocks one by one lining the driveway.
Next, Greg built a new bridge and culvert crossing the creek:
Then we filled in with 9 truck loads of gravel:
And lastly finished it off with some landscaping:
"Put your outdoor work in order and get your fields ready; after that, build your house."
Proverbs 24:27
